Hi,
My store is set up using PayPal Express checkout and the orders do go through, but on the final step, the page doesn't change to a confirmation page.

Steps:
- checkout
- go through paypal step
- back on site at the "PayPal Express Checkout" page
- click on 'PLACE ORDER'
- page reloads but is still on the "PayPal Express Checkout" page

This is confusing to customers because it looks like nothing happened. If they click it again it gives an error, but it does show as completed in their Order History.

Has anyone encountered this? Is there anyway to fix it?

This seems to be the same/similar issue as another post from @  Scippy but begins by checking out using PayPal Checkout.

Anybody know how to fix this?

Usually, this would be an issue with the configuration of some kind - but it would be very difficult to troubleshoot via the forums. I'd suggest reviewing all of your payment provider settings using the documentation article below, and also re-test using the _default viewset to ensure that any customizations in the viewset isn't getting in the way.

Does this appear to be a good summary of what's occurring here?

It looks like progress and perhaps even a solution has been found.

I am wondering if this issue only affects one file(I'm guessing based on "one file changed"), is it possible for me to download that one file and replace it in my site? FYI - I know nothing about working with source code so please forgive my ignorance.

Or do I need to wait for an actual release version that is installed as usual?

Thanks!

It's never a great idea for anyone attempt to manually update/upgrade any open-source or other solution. You should always wait for a release, if you can. 🙂

OK, I understand. Any idea of a timeframe for the next release?
I realize this is open source and contributors are giving of their time for this so I am not trying to push, just wondering about a timeframe.

We have several pending updates sponsored by existing clients, so another release is coming soon but we don't have a date for it. We generally don't provide timelines for open-source projects. Sorry.

https://mlsdev.com . For example, the IT team has several members who are responsible for the creation and maintenance of the server and database. The graphic designers create the designs that will go on the website. Last but not least, the software engineers are responsible for the functionality of the site and can be divided up into three groups - one group designing the site and two who test the site and one group updating the site.
