Does anyone know if there are any side effects of removing old records from the hcc_Analytics table? I have an upgrade that I am performing from 1.10.4 to 2.0.8 and it is timing out upgrading the hcc_Analytics table because there are so many records.

The analytics table is there to help populate the dashboard seen in version 2.0+. The analytics have been getting populated since version 1.0 though. If you truncate the analytics table in any way, you won't break anything. However, you will make the dashboard less effective.

Thanks, Will. I will probably eliminate some old records and keep the most recent relevant data in there.

If you can, I'd suggest keeping at least a year of data in there to help store owners and admins make data-driven decisions based on store health/activity over time.
