MiniCart and Cart are separate modules that use the same MVC controller. You don't need to do anything to specify either. You simply add the respective module to the page and the correct controller will be called by the module.

Every thing is working fine when I select view to index mode but when I select minicart it's not showing anything in the cart. However for index view it showing items in cart.

What version of DNN and Hotcakes Commerce are you using? Have you made any modifications to the extensions points (especially the viewset)?
