I am trying to create a language pack for german.

Currently it seems not so easy to create the language pack as the translations are in three different locations:
[list][*]DesktopModule (Dashboard and other things)[/list]
[list][*]PortalFolder (Viewset)[/list]
[list][*]Database (Email Templates)[/list]

atm i don't see an easy way to create a language pack in the common way. I guess it will be more like some module-type package that can update the database too.

I would be interested too if someone already has a way to provide a complete language pack. I don't want to reinvent the wheel...

There are already localization files associated with Hotcakes, but there's not yet a concept of a "language pack." When we were a commercial product, our intent was to make this a reality, but our overseas sales never justified the development effort required to make it happen.

It would be great if one or more of you could help make this feature a reality.

I've fully translated Desktopmodules/Hotcakes and _Default ViewSet into Italian language

Only one thing...I could not find the resources to translate the main menu items that are now the only ones to have to be always translated.
I've found them into Menu.xml file but I don't know how traslate them, if you can give me some help about.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide translated resources for Hotcakes. We (the community) very much appreciate your effort and participation. Contributions like this are how we will all grow. :)

The menu is one of a couple of places that haven't yet been 100% updated to support localization in the administration area. This is something that definitely needs to be done as soon as possible to grow the project outside of the US. I've created the GitHub Issue below to help make this happen.
