Hello:

The site has the "Unique Display Name" setting enabled so that there aren't 20 people named Adrian getting confused with each other (as an example). I can look into this further for you if you let me know what values you were using and trying. However, unlesss this is a bug in the CMS, the display name is probably indeed in use.

Also, I can manually change your display name on the back end in the meantime, if you wish.

I wasnt actually trying to change display name, just add my github link to my profile. Hit update and get dnn warning alert:

I didn't necessarily think you were attempting to change your Display Name, but that doesn't really matter in this context anyway. When you save your profile, all values that require validation are validated, even if you didn't change them.

Are you able to save your profile if you put in a random value for the Display Name?
