    Hi All,

    I have been trying to understand how much HotCakes supports Google Ecommerce Tracking.

    I have covered the basis in enabling Ecommerce Tracking in both Google Analytics and HotCakes. However I am still not getting any data flowing into Google Analytics.

    Must say that I have not filled in any information in HotCakes on the fields "Google Store Name" and "Google Category Name". Are they required fields? Because I don't really have a Google Store setup. Do I have to have a Google Store setup to make HotCakes works with Ecommerce Tracking?

    First, you need to make sure you enable Google Analytics in the store settings:

    But you also want to be sure that you update Google Analytics on your website to use Universal Analytics:

    Sorry but I was reading the instructions and it mentions this:

    [i]Use Google Ecommerce Tracking - Check this box if you want to use Google’s Ecommerce tracking system for your Google Store. This only applies if you have Google Store set up for your site.[/i]

    As far as I am aware Google Ecommerce Tracking does not requires a Google Store but the HotCakes manual says I have to have one. Does it mean HotCakes support Google Ecommerce Tracking only if a Google Store?

    I know that what is saying above but I just want to confirm because it seems limiting.
