I have some minor work to do to clean things up in GitHub, and I plan on doing that this weekend. I apologize for the delay. The release process was done much differently this time versus any other release we've had, and we're working out the hiccups with our process.

All versions of Hotcakes Commerce appear to already be fully compatible with DNN 9 as far as we can tell. The only issue we see is that Hotcakes lacks the persona bar integration necessary in DNN 9 to make the store administration experience be fully usable. Development efforts are already underway on resolving this issue. You'll likely see this resolved in Hotcakes 3.1.0.

You don't have to wait. The only issue would be that there won't be a built-in way to navigate to the store administration until version 03.01.00 is available. There are many ways to address that, including bookmarking the administration dashboard, and placing a permission-protected button on the site that leads to the same page.
