This week Twitter began rolling out a major redesign of user profiles on the web version of their network and we can't help but notice, it looks a lot like Facebook. The new design displays a large profile picture and header image and allows you to show your best tweets and more.
Here are some of the main features of the new redesign:
- Pinned Tweets: Pin one of your tweets to the top of your page, so your followers can what you're all about.
- Filtered Tweets: Choose which timeline to view when checking out other profiles. Select from tweets, tweets with photos/videos, or tweets and replies.
- Best Tweets: Tweets that have received more engagement will appear slightly larger, so your best content is easy to find.
This change was made to present the social network as a more friendly-looking place to newbies who might find Twitter platform confusing. Over the next few weeks Twitter will begin rolling out the new layout to all users so make sure you're ready.
The recommended header photo size in the new version is 1500x500 pixels, up from the 1252x626 in the previous design.
