Exciting news! I am glad that Hotcakes listens to their community. This is why I am a big fan of the platform.

This is excellent news! We were really disappointed when it looked to be tied in with the CMS install, so really glad they are opening it up as a module as well.

This is a great thread, everyone. Thank you for the open discussion.

Just a note on the packaging and distribution. Hotcakes will continue to be released as an open source CMS moving forward, but it will include a module-only distribution package as well like it used to be.

We don't have a date yet on the next release though. Hopefully within the next week or two.

Having the HotCakes CMS Platform as a path will be an interesting item to watch as it develops. I imagine that it could mean some overall performance improvements, feature/function ability and other good, new things as it continues forward.

So while we're looking forward to that and participating with it as it grows, it is really comforting to know that we have the current/standard method available for both existing instances and others that require it in the future.

Thanks All!
