As long as you're on a more recent version of Hotcakes Commerce, you'll find there are several sorting options available to you.

[*]Make sure you're in edit mode on the page that has the category viewer on it.
[*](Log in, if necessary.) Go into the module settings.
[*]Click on the Hotcakes Category Viewer settings tab, then scroll down.
[*]Click the checkbox for each sort option you'd like to have displayed to customers.

I'm not sure I follow... Are you asking how to add another type of sort to the listing of available sorting options? For example, sorting by inventory level?
