Our client recently expressed interest in enabling PayPal at checkout.

In digging through the PayPal Client Library included in Hotcakes versions 2.00.4 through 3.0.0, it appears that it is utilizing a SOAP method of interacting with the Paypal API which was deprecated by Paypal in January of this year: https://developer.paypal....kout/ec_integration/

Are there plans in either the 3.0.1 build or beyond to switch away from the SOAP method to the REST API/Braintree SDK method of interacting with the Paypal API?

    Thanks,

This is a great question, Manny. There are no current plans for anyone on our team to change that at this time. As far as I'm aware, the same is true for Arrow as well. I apologize if this is in any way an inconvenience to you, but the provider has been working without issue for all of our clients so far this year. My understanding the last I looked into it is that the API still works, but it's not being actively maintained or enhanced anymore.
