Whether live transaction or test mode, I get the following error for valid cards:

3 - Authorize.Net Error: The merchant login ID or password is invalid or the account is inactive.

The authorization info is valid. It's being used on their live NOPCommerce site now (moving to Hotcakes).

Authorize.Net says it might be an invalid API url.

    Any thoughts?

    Correction:

This only happens in test mode. I was able to get a live transaction to process.

It sounds like either you're using an older version of Hotcakes Commerce that doesn't support TLS 1.1, or the server/computer you're on isn't capable of sending a TLS 1.1 request.

I just double-checked the sandbox URL and it's still the correct one. Authorize.net doesn't appear to have changed that.

You're correct. The server is set up for TLS 1.2 only. I can open 1.1 if needed.

    Thanks as always, Will.

I have been having a similar issue where I am getting the error:

3 - Authorize.Net Error: The merchant login ID or password is invalid or the account is inactive.

When trying to process payments using Authorize.Net. I just upgrade the site to DNN 9.2.2 and HC 3.2.1 and retested and still get this error. I have checked and tested to ensure that TLS 1.1 and 1.2 is enable and working on the site as well. I have also double checked with Authorize.Net to make sure everything looks good on their end and I have triple checked to make sure I am using the right API Login ID and Transaction ID (have even regenerated the Transaction ID to make sure) and I still get this error.

I had the same error coming up on a different shopping cart (DNN based) that we tried last year that was giving us the same error. We eventually switched over to PayPal for it. Now that we have switched carts over toe HC I was hoping I could get this working with our Authorize.Net account but am running into this same error. As far as I can tell I have everything setup and configured correctly from my site and the HC module.

Any other ideas as to what I can try and do to get this working?

    Thanks!
